Summary:

The Multimedia Account Executive’s primary responsibility is to consult with customers on behalf of the News Herald and Dearborn Press & Guide, plus our growing audience across of an ever expanding network of digital platforms. The outside sales position has the opportunity to sell both print and digital products and solutions. This position handles the full life cycle of a sale from curating to execution. (Please note the sales territory for this role is the Downriver area and will require prospecting in this area.)

What you will do:

  • Proactively prospect, qualify, grow and maintain all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of or willingness to learn our digital product portfolio.
  • Demonstrate passed knowledge to overcome customer objectives
  • Develop prospecting leads using a variety of sources, including digital, radio, TV and direct mail
  • Understand how the competition sells their products and services, including rates and specials
  • Create marketing presentations and update as needed
  • Create proposals while working with the client’s budget and also looking for growth opportunities
  • Work as a leader of the sales and support teams to ensure accuracy and client satisfaction

What you will bring:

In this role, the MMAE will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing revenue as well as targeting new business on a monthly basis and will need to work well within a tight deadline environment. This position will serve and grow current local accounts while also growing personal income. The role requires the solicitation of new business, in-person and on the phone, the demonstrated ability to execute a solid presentation and close sales. This is a full time position with a base salary plus uncapped commission, business mileage reimbursement and full benefits.
